V.K. MALIK

Chairman and the senior most partner of the firm Mr. V.K. Malik has had a sprawling legal career spread over 42 years, a Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University and a Bachelor of Laws from I. L. S. (Pune). Mr. Malik has fought and won innumerable legal battles at all judicial forums from tribunals to District Courts, High Courts and the Supreme Court of India; under civil, criminal and constitutional jurisdictions.

Started his career while assisting his father late Shri R.K. Malik (Special Prosecutor for the Enforcement Directorate) in the 1980’s. Mr. V. K. Malik represented the Delhi Police in the High Court of Delhi from 2001 till 2007 and was later appointed as a special prosecutor for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He has been an Arbitrator with the Delhi International Arbitration Centre of the High Court of Delhi from 2019 – 2021.   

Mr. Malik has fought civil, constitutional and criminal battles for many multinationals, banks and corporate houses. He has also fought leading cases of serious nature on the criminal side and also civil cases relating to commercial and property disputes of NRI’s at the High Courts and the Supreme Courts of India. Mr. Malik had many times been appointed as an official arbitrator by the Delhi High Court judiciary for speedy resolution of legal disputes.

Mr. Malik has been on the panel of many reputed organizations like the Citibank, General Insurance Company of India, Oriental Insurance, New India Insurance, National Insurance Company, United India Insurance Co., Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Vimhans Hospital, advisor to West India Falia Separators India Ltd. (a German company), Jagson Airlines and many more.

RAHUL MALIK

Rahul Malik, a third-generation lawyer, specializes in the Civil disputes, Commercial disputes, Infrastructure Laws and matters of public laws under the writ jurisdiction of the High Courts and the Supreme Courts of India. Rahul has a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com), University of Delhi, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Master of Laws (LLM – Cyber Crime and IPR) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University – New Delhi and was enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in 2010. Rahul also took up courses in management and finance from LSBA, London, United Kingdom and renewable energy courses from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. Rahul’s main areas of interest are Commercial Disputes, Real Estate Litigation, Intellectual Property Rights’, Criminal Trials, Appeals and Bails.

Rahul has conducted a plethora of civil and criminal trials at various judicial forums, has also worked and assisted senior advocates on constitutional matters under the writ jurisdiction of the High Court. Rahul started his litigation career at the prestigious chambers of the Additional Solicitor General of India (High Court of Delhi) where he worked mostly on writs and matters of national importance like Banning of SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India), HAJ Committee dispute, Indian Railways tender dispute, Right of a foreign company to invoke writ jurisdiction in India, 2G Telecom Scandal, Dr. Abdul Kalam’s Airport Frisking, Aviation Tender Disputes etc.

Rahul learned trial law at the chambers of Mr. S. C. Sharma (Patiala House Courts) where mostly trials were conducted arising from civil disputes, recovery matters, personal law disputes and criminal cases. Having worked at various litigation forums of the Indian Legal System, Rahul has developed an innate understanding of the legal and commercial environment prevailing in India.  Rahul had also served as the Senior Panel Counsel for Union of India at the High Court of Delhi for six years from 2014-2020. Has also worked extensively on Elections Laws, Commercial Disputes, Administrative Laws, Service Matter and Criminal Laws.
